MailStation works in LAN/VLAN but not WAN

Unread post by DevSolar » Wed Mar 07, 2018 11:44 am

My DS214se is running Web Station, DokuWiki, and WebSVN successfully from /volume1/web/.

I can access my website as <hostname>.fritz.box (LAN / VLAN) just as well as <domain>.ddns.net (LAN / VLAN / WAN).

(The dynamic ddns.net domain is handled by the FritzBox; I have entered the DDNS information in the DiskStation as well.)

Now I have set up Mail Station. And I can access it as <hostname>.fritz.box/mail/ (LAN / VLAN), but if I try it as <domain>.ddns.net/mail/, I get a 404 file not found (from LAN / VLAN as well as WAN).

There is no directory /volume1/web/mail, so obviously MailStation uses some kind of forwarding / redirect to some other directory (which only works for <hostname>.fritz.box).

But I cannot figure out what setting I would have to change to make MailStation available via <domain>.ddns.net/mail/ (without losing the DokuWiki / WebSVN content)... help?

Did setup the mail alias in DSM - Control Panel - Application Portal?

No, there is no "Mail" alias set up. There are only two entries, "Calendar" and "File Station" (both not activated).

Edit: Deinstalled / reinstalled Mail Station. No "Mail" alias set up in Application Portal.
