Hello Goetz,

I tried to upgrade to 844 first, then tried the 942 on my DS-106e.
However, both of them give the same : can not apply data
Current system firmware is: DSM2.0-0731

Thanks for all your work!

regards,

Richard

Hello Goetz,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I got it working.......

Tought that upgrading from internal drive was more secure.
I also disabled all installed packages like SABnzbd etc.
Am now connecting to Home media gallery on my Pioneer :D

Keep up the good work!

Regards,

Richard

Did I read correctly that NTFS was not supported ?
Or is this a complete working 2.2-942 firmware

Hi,
this is a complete working 942 as all other powerpc MPC8241 based Stations (107,107e,108j,109j) have. NTFS read is supported, write is not supported.

Hi,
UPDATE: new downloadlinks, upload lifetime on file-upload.net is only one year

DS-106 DS-106e and DS-106j are testet on my DS-106.

This is experimenal, use it on your own risk! You may lost all your data, maybe your DS isn't working anymore, if you are in warranty, you lost warranty. There is no support from Synology.

This is a dirty hack!!

106e version works on my 101g+! But the fan still spins up and down regardless if the HDD is up or down.

Thanks Goetz! :D
