Web interface on DS107+ with FW 2.0-728 very slow

Postby Hammerbot » Wed Nov 19, 2008 3:09 pm

I just upgrade my DS107+ to 728 from a very old version (500 something). The UI is quite impressive now, but unfortunately very slow. With the internet explorer my CPU load peaks to 100% each time I click any link. With Opera (as my preferred browser) it is even worse.

Is anybody also having this problem? Is there a fix for it?

Greetings Hammerbot

Have you tried managing the system in IE7, Firefox 2 or 3, or Safari 3.x; these are the browsers that our engineering team uses to test the WebGUI.

Hope this helps

Hi Hammerbot,

When I upgraded from 518 to 722, my DS-106e became very slow, too.
I'm using a dual-core laptop, running XP and IE6.

Fortunatly, it runs stable and I rarely need to access the Web UI.
File performance via 100 mbit network is (seemingly) not changed. I only use it as a "simple" NAS without the fancy server features, so I wouldn't know if they've become slower.
