Terminals using 5G WiFi by Arris 5268ac cannot be connected to NAS

Unread post by kma_cn » Fri Oct 13, 2017 2:42 am

The dsl router is a new Arris 5268ac from AT&T. All terminals (PC, iPhone, iPad) work well, and internet is ok.
Synology assistant can find the NAS, but connection failed, only when terminals use 5G WiFi.
"Quick connect to" can access the NAS from inetrnet by 5G WiFi. Local network cannot find the NAS.
There is no any problem when terminals using wired or 2.4G WiFi.

So, I think the Arris 5268ac's 5G WiFi could not support the NAS. Why and How?

Either you have a guest ssid configured for 5GHz, either the router is fully stupid.
Maybe it's a known bug with that router and there's a firmware update for this issue.

My money will go for a Guest SSID configured on the 5GHz radio.
