Wich chipset behind E10G17-F2

Unread post by gigius » Thu Sep 21, 2017 6:39 am

Hi,

just ordered a 10gbe card E10G17-F2 for my RS3617RPxs. Does anyone know which 'chipset' is used behind the Synology brand?

Need to know to order somes 2m twinax cables.

Thanks

I need this answer too, about to drop $14K on a system, but no documentation on the chipset for this card!

Interesting question: it looks like - just a personal guess - a Mellanox MCX312A-XCBT (with a custom Firmware? latest Mellanox Firmware can be found here with relevant Release Notes for compatible cables). Probably a dmesg and a lspci will output some other useful informations through the Synology CLI in which that card is installed and supported.
