Failed to establish network connection on Download Station

Postby thelaw81 » Mon Mar 28, 2011 7:59 am

After upgrading to DSM 3.1-1594 and still with 1605, I got a strange problem with my download station "Failed to establish network connection". I have made some tweaks, regarding Logitech Squezzeserver (changed mount with noatime and nodiratime) and swap on USB...

I got this error in /var/log/messages

Mar 28 08:31:44 downloadman.cgi: sysconf.c (93) Failed to connect to database
Mar 28 08:31:44 downloadman.cgi: pgsql.c (187) Failed to re-connect to (null), user: admin, db:download. (FATAL: could not open file "global/pg_database": No such file or directory )

Anyone had similar problem in this very new software release?

Problem Solved:
/usr/syno/etc/rc.d/S20pgsql.sh restart
su -l admin
/usr/syno/pgsql/bin/dropdb download
exit
/usr/syno/etc/rc.d/S25download.sh restart

I would like to add that the above is not necessarily required.
The first command should suffice in most cases. It worked for me without a problem with only the first command.

You should only execute the other commands if the first one doesn't fix your problem.
