Synology® Fixes Vulnerability in DiskStation Manager

Postby Jeremie » Tue Feb 18, 2014 3:56 am

Hi Everyone,

We would like to thank all of you who contacted and worked with us to report this security issue: your support has been extremely helpful for our engineering team. They were addressed and patched in the previous critical update: we'd like to highlight the importance of doing a clean install of DSM when applying the fix since many of you are still reporting the issue.

To get more information about the symptoms and recommended actions, please find the link below:

Upon the discovery of this potential threat to DSM, we have taken immediate actions to analyse and fix the vulnerability. The related forum discussion threads have also been closely monitored.
If you still notice the DiskStation behaving suspiciously after being upgraded to the latest DSM version, please contact security@synology.com.
