Re: clustering on a DS410

[quote]Please reference the above image, when you click create RAID type - then click custom - then select Block Level iSCSI, which will allow you to create an iSCSI Target at the block level. You will then be presented with a wizard to select which disks you would like to use for your block level i...

block base iSCSI on CS407

Hi Franklin, Could you please elaborate on this block level iSCSI? It's not mentioned in the Wiki and I cannot seem to find how to configure it when searching these forums. I find iSCSI performance is worse than CIFS (but far better than NFS), and suspect it has to do with incurring the file system ...

Re: DLNA won't display jpegs past 4096 pixels

Same here: the mediaserver won't serve jpg photos. The jpg's are indexed, DLNA clients see them when browsing though the directory, but cannot access them: file not found or a similar message (depends on the DLNA client). Music and video files can be accessed OK. Tried jpg's of ~30kB as well as seve...

Something changing system time

I'm experiencing the same behaviour on my DS101g+, firmware 2.0.3 - 0460. The crond complains about a time disparity a couple of times a day in /var/log/messages: Oct 10 14:59:01 crond[2678]: time disparity of -719 minutes detected Oct 11 03:59:01 crond[2678]: time disparity of 721 minutes detected ...

Same here on a DS101g+ with the lastest firmware supporting iTunes server. A lot of the Song, Album, Artist and/or Genre names start with two weird characters; Year is sometimes empty and all Track# list as 1. ID3 v2.3 on MP3 files.

Long load time for iTunes server

I've upgraded my DS101g+ to firmware 460. I've enabled the long-awaited iTunes server and can see the diskstation's shared library from iTunes on my PC. I have quite a large collection, over 7000 songs, some 54GB. It does take quite some time (several minutes) before iTunes finishes loading the shar...

Corrupted artist/song/album name in iTunes server

I've upgraded my DS101g+ to firmware 460. I've enabled the long-awaited iTunes server and can see the diskstation's shared library from iTunes on my PC. However, I noticed that names of some Artists, Albums, Genres, Songs start with some weird characters (. Also, I noticed that each song shows Track...
