Isn't that an DockerImage? Than have a look at dockerhub: https://hub.docker.com/r/gitlab/gitlab-ce/
I think there is no docker image yet for that version.

Well there is the trick of the double reset which sets up the nas to reinstall the DSM without destroying your data. However I'm just stuck in there since my NAS now fails on every uploading of any version of the DSM and won't boot either. So if you have a backup have a look at this non-destructive ...

I mean I have a new DS1815+ and I setup with 4 empty disks a raid configuration. Slot:1,2,3,4 Than I take my old set of 4 disks from my old NAS (DS1511+) and I put them also in my new DS1815+ on slot: 5,6,7,8 Now I have all 8 slots occupied 4 new disks which contains the DSM install, and 4 old disks...

Can I merge NAS disk sets? (combine an existing set with an old set)

I have a Synology 1511+ with 4 disks creating a single volume. This is my plan: Buy new Synology 1815+ 1. Set up a new disk array with 4 new disks Then when everything is working I add the 4 disk from the old Synology to the new one. Now Can I see now both volumes? or is this simply impossible to do...

Not Sure, If you can get Java to work on it, I think you have a fair shot.
