Re: Poor Wireless webpage load performance

Synology might have found a temporary solution:

If you change the encryption for your Wifi to WEP, it seems the internet connection works normally. Obviously this is only a temporary workaround. I haven't tested this myself yet, but another user reported that it works.

Re: Poor Wireless webpage load performance

The issue seems ISP related. I tried mine at home with big issues and at work it worked flawless.

Please don't expect Synology to act on forum posts with only a small bit of info in them, but enter a support ticket through Synology.com (that's what it's for in the end  )

Re: Synology disk HACKED (Synolock)

My suggestion as a Synology reseller: If your NAS is not yet infected: ⋅ Close all open ports for external access for now ⋅ Update DSM to the latest version ⋅ Wait for Synology's official statement on this issue If your NAS is already infected: ⋅ Shut down you...

Re: DS214play, Apple TV and DTS: my solution

on my DS1512+ it also processes only one movie at the time with /volume1/video as path given. It stops after processing one movie, and running the exact same command again results in doing the next movie.

Re: DS214play, Apple TV and DTS: my solution

It should work on other intel based synology's like the DS7xx and DS15xx although these models don't have the transcoding chip of the ds214play and will always have a hard time transcoding anything over 720p. Even 720p stutters a lot on my 1512+.

Thanks! Trying it now. If this works I'll publish it on blog.mobile-harddisk.nl (of course referring to this topic).

Re: SynoCommunity is glad to announce its new repo

Hi

DSM 4.2 final seems to be released today. Is their a (user friendly) solution for the Python package problem yet?

Thanks
Björn

P.S. If the answer is somewhere in this thread, please forgive me. Couldn't get myself to going through 51 pages ;)

Re: Download Task Notification

I ran into that problem too. My solution? Don't use perl :D I installed Python and then used one of the Python libraries available. (prowlpy I believe) I used the example script on their page to make sendprowl.py: """ Example notification using prowl. """ import sys, s...

Re: WordPress 2.7 - Automatic Upgrade...

Any updates here yet? I'm running into the exact same problem with WP 2.7.1 and Synology DS209+
I've also found out you should be able to use direct transport or SHH transfer of files. WP only uses ftp when these two options are not available.

Re: 571 Firmware compatible with SSODS ?

At my 107+ at home first the Slimserver wouldn't run. I had to reboot after the setup. Now it works fine.

Re: 571 Firmware compatible with SSODS ?

I can confirm this works on a DS-107+ too. Please note that you still need to install SSODS through firmware update. It will end with an error, but that's no problem. After this you can continue with http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods3_faq where you change the final step sudo ssctrl start to rm -f /volume1...

Re: 571 Firmware compatible with SSODS ?

Good news everybody! Just got confirmation that Synology is taking this serious. They will try to cooperate with flipflip in making his script work again.
