Re: BubbleUpNp and Chromecast and 1900AC

It could help to give the Chromecast a fixed IP-address (DHCP Reservation). Also convince that the settings for IGMP Snooping are set properly. Network Center ----> Local Network ----> General --> scroll down the menu. Further, in past I did use BubbleUpNp app to my Android devices. It has it's pote...

Re: 2600ac router purchased - Firewall help

If you go to my examples, mostly "one side" of the connection, IP addresses are not set.
They have a "general" ALL match of IP sources (or destination).

But under circumstances it could be important to have a fixed WAN IP address.
That could be accomplished by using a DDNS service (Synology).

Re: 2600ac router purchased - Firewall help

'Firewall rules only apply to network traffic between the Internet and the local network hosted by the Synology Router. Network traffic within the same local network or between the wired and wireless local networks is not subjected to the rules.' Not true (at least not any-more with today firmware ...

Re: 2600ac router purchased - Firewall help

if i set my router to deny for "Wan to Lan Has only to do with outside access (WAN) to inside (LAN) in relation to "Port Forwarding". If set to "deny", in spite of "Port forwarding" settings, access can be closed in relation to other Firewall rules. Read explanation in my redirection message < HERE...

Re: RT2600ac - Nmap showing host as up.

Test using Nmap from what I still could remember: Standard setting. Do give result: host is down / no response: http://123dio.com/Synology-forum-int/RT1900ac/Nmap/Nmap-scan_01.gif Your setting. Do give results: ports closed, and detection of OS (but not showing which OS. Maybe Unix ?? as used for th...

Re: RT2600ac - Nmap showing host as up.

No firewall rules, just the 4 defaults set to deny. Yes I understand. But I am not willing to delete all my Firewall rules within my router, just for testing, as I have already my results as shown by the other test website . Although I did test several times with that Nmap tool with my choise of Fi...

Re: RT2600ac - Nmap showing host as up.

Depends to Firewall rules. Did comparable test with another test website.

As examples see next message + follow up:

Re: TLS 1.2

Yes you can edit files within the root of SRM, but have no knowledge which files.
https://putty.org/

I would suggest to ask Synology Support (by ticket) to do it for you.
You also can make a suggestion to update this security option within SRM in general.

I have also logged a Support Ticket.
And you have not a message back yet from Synology??

I could suggest to fully reset the router to factory state, but that could be anoying.
(Firstly always back-cup your settings).

Re: DHCP Clients and Reservation Screen Issue

And "hard" power down by the power button on the device, and some minutes later power on again?

Re: DHCP Clients and Reservation Screen Issue

No strange behavior here. See if other menus are set to IPv6 by accident if you don't use IPv6. E.g. Network Center --> left side: Internet --> tab right side: Connection See the menu behind the button IPv6 Setup If you don't use IPv6, the menu has to be chosen as "off" . Network Center --> left sid...

Wrong forum section. This section is about Synology router (SRM firmware), not NAS (DSM)
