Re: Config File Editor Not Working After DSM 4.3 Beta Update

Amazing, you guys are still using my package :) Anyway, by accident, I had to work with my own package again on a newer model with DS4.3 and found the problem you guys all encountered. Luckely enough, this time Synology took time to document the new authentication system properly, so it wasn't that ...

Re: package (spk) SABnzbd

Hi merty, is there anyway you could update the python code used in your sabnzbd package so that it will work with ipv6? Currently there are errors when trying to add an ipv6 news server even though my ds110j has an ipv6 address. EDIT: It looks like this could be the reason ipv6 is not working with ...

Re: package (spk) SABnzbd

Hi, on my 109j I am not seeing the baseutils, compressionutils, pythonutils applications availiable. I can see the SAB app itself but not others. Am I missing something? Thanks, Tom Ah, thanks for mentioning this. Searched the logs for this, turns out I didn't know that DS109j do have 'arch' type &...

Re: package (spk) Config File Editor

I solved the problem with the DSM3.2 software and CFE ( and other packages).

You can download the new packages right of my own package server.

Re: package (spk) SABnzbd

Hi everyone, Last few days, my mailbox became overloaded with requests for fixing and updating SABnzbd+ package to work with DSM 3.2... DSM 3.2 "final" version seems to have a strange bug/feature that prevents displaying 3rd party apps inside the Admin window. Anyway, last week, I did a re...

Re: Are Apache, PHP and MySQL Upgradeable?

Edit: yes, you can, however, settings things on or off in the management interface might influence your configuration. For instance, in new firmware 2.3, the configuration of php.ini will overwrite the "open_basedir" directive everytime the user webserver is started.. So, handle with care ...

Re: Error on the Syno CPU wiki page?

As far as I can see, the DS410 also uses one cpu of the ppc 8533 family. In this case the 8533e <= e for added encryption functionality. Be aware that the 8533 is not a single chip but a range of chips. It might differ in clock speed and/or added functionalities, so you can't compare them only on ty...

Re: pb with latest SABNZB 0.5 package for DS710+

Firmware 2.3 had some major memory-leak problems. In most cases, this might be the reason why installing or starting packages didn't work. All "big memory eaters" as SABnzbd+ and squeeze center might encounter problems with memory because of this. Best thing to do is to install new 1141 ve...

Re: open_basedir restriction in effect

In 2.2 you could add additional directories to the open_basedir setting in php.ini In 2.3 it is always overwritten. The only to remove the restriction is to uncomment the whole open_basedir line by adding a # in front. I have adjusted my "WebShare Enabler" program, to deal with this. Unin...

Hello, And I have 2 problems with the fix to replace strange characters in filenames. The script don't change the folder. And I can't acces at the folder if the name has a strange character. Yup, that's right, at the moment it can only fixes filenames, not directorynames. Will fix that in future. I...

Re: SynDnsmasq: A simple DNS/DHCP server for Synology

Hi Robert,

Nice package you have made !

Just a small update: the DS1010+ version (x86) should work with no problems on a DS710+..

Remco
