Like said two posts further up it´s onboard RAM, not upgradeable

Re: Upgrading RAM on DS411J?

I think I wait for the 412j or whatever Model will come with a minimum of 256mb since my 207+ with 128 is allways at 98% usage with Squeezeserver enabled. I can understand that it´s product politics and not the prize of RAM to give the smaller models an adequate amount of RAM, since the added value ...

Re: Replace 207+ with 411j ?

Thank you antoiney,

I think throughputwise the 411j is more then enough for me, I was afraid that the Squeezeserver is running slower than on the 207+ (the "+" must account for something compared to the "j" ;-))
Any experiences in this direction?

Replace 207+ with 411j ?

Hi there, I am currently thinking about replacing my good old 207+ with a 411j due to the 4-bays. Anyone any idea how the two compare performance wise? I use Squeezeserver on the DS at the moment, the interface is OK for me on the 207+, will it be slower on the 411j? Thanks in advance, cheers, Grouper

Re: Schedule Shutdown issue!

Do a restart from the web gui after removing all entries did the trick for me. DS stays on now, the bug with the nonworking schedule entries should be treated by the developers, very annoying. Please Can You explain for me what entries remove? Thank a lot Pilot07 Sure: 1. Remove all the time entrie...

Re: FTP client for Android

I did not install anything on DSM3.0 and using And-FTP I access my FTP Server by FTP over explicit SSL without any problems. /edit: Now I see your problem, I was on a WiFi connection with my mobile, not 3G. On 3G I also run into problems... I think it´s more the way how the provider handles ports/ft...

Re: Synology Packages - Wishlist

It's would be difficult for me to see the value in adding flatbed scanner support. Usually if you need a document scanned to a network drive this is not the best piece of hardware for the task. If you're scanning slides/photos then editing/rotating/cropping is almost always required so I'd rather h...

Re: Schedule Shutdown issue!

My 207+ has the same problem, even worse for me, the wake-up does not work on this series (due to hardware limitations apparently). So my DS goes to have a nap now every night and I have to restart it manually...

Is there a solution from the normally very good support?

Re: disable auto shutdown due to Replacement Fan and 3.0 133

How about disabling the Fan_check option overall? set a "0" in the file /sys/module/ds107\+_207\+_synobios/parameters/check_fan after each reboot this is done by logging in as root and creating a shell script in /usr/syno/etc.defaults/rc.d/" that I name "S99zz_fan_check_disable.s...

Re: Diskstation Manager 3.0 Installation: Success or Fail Po

I updated my DS207+ from last 2.3 to 1337 without any problems. All settings, even the Squeececenter Package remainend intact.
I do not notice any performance gains, and must say that the new interface is, well, let´s say it will take some time to get used to it...

Solved, just change the fan_check parameter to 0 instead of 1, than the fan is reported to work as normal

Re: DS1010+ with silent fan - disable fan beep

The new FW has a switch for that, unfortunately also an automatic shutdown sequence after 5 Minutes....

Otherwise for the older FW:

echo 0 > /sys/module/ds107+_synobios/parameters/check_fan

disable auto shutdown due to Replacement Fan and 3.0 1337

Hi there,
I replaced the original fan with a quieter Papst fan, unfortunately this one has no rpm. Usually this was no problem, I just added:

echo 0 > /sys/module/ds107+_synobios/parameters/check_fan

But with the 3.0 FW I get an automatic shutdown after 5 Minutes. Can this be disabled?

Re: rtorrent process high CPU usage

Have a look here:

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24470

I think it is an acknowledged problem.

For me (207+, Fw1157) it also occurs only when I do more than download at a time.
