Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

...because now ALL OF THEM ARE OUT OF WARRANTY due to 3 Year Extended Warranty that in fact has expired... No they aren't. Even companies like Synology are bound to the laws and regulations of countries where they sell their products. Over here (Netherlands) the "warranty counter" starts whenever t...

Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

I have contacted synologa for RMA, but I bought DS on ebay - second hand, so they do not RMA for second hand devices, and yes it is out of warranty. With original bill and still in warranty he said there is no problem for RMA. Now it's absolutely doesn't matter whether you bought either new or seco...

Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

My ds415+ is dead too. Any idea what to do with the chasis with not working CPU? Sell by parts? Make a MiniPC? Trash it? ;) . Is there any chance to replace CPU with working one? Thanx, Mitcho Have you contacted Synology yet? What have they responded? PS I do know, that your warranty must have expi...

I don't know how Synology will diagnose the unit dead in the CPU or PSU level, so I wonder what they will do

Re: Move 1TB between 2 Synologys

Hello everybody, I have added a 415play to my existing 916+, they are connected at same router, I'd like to move 1TB from latter to former. I have added an ftp connection in File Station on 916 to connect to 415 but doing this after 5 days I'm still at 4%. Is there a better way to do it? https://ww...

Re: Successor for 415+?

How on earth would I know that until 9 its September, and then it starts from A to C? It's Hexadecimal. +1! And of course everyone that has a DS at home knows that  Even not knowing that, you could have tried to continue the series ... after 9 you might have stopped, but if you have "C...

Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

Sure a resistor is much less, but I don't want to void my warranty in case it still brakes for some other reason. It makes sense provided you have 4 Year Extended Warranty (All models apart from DS415+). As for DS415+ the soldering option looks more and more preferable ... Doesn't this "transistor ...

Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

I just got an RMA approved for my unit. It's still working, but I can't trust it anymore so I opened a support case, and they agreed to replace it. Unfortunately they can't provide my with an advanced RMA, so I have to send my unit in, and then wait until they feel like sending a replacement out Th...

Re: DS415+ stop working

This is a 415+ from 2014 (14A serial number). Opened a support case, awaiting a response. 1. Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

these are the pictures of my Synology updated DS415+ motherboard. FYI it is a 100 ohm resistor I replaced the 415+ today. Difference was once again just the resistor. Guys, just 2 questions, please: 1. Did you RMA a workable of just broken DS415+ units? 2. Did you receive an older or younger model ...

Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

I received a new DS1515+ with a serial number start with 1810. Are people who have an change in the same case ? Basically, every single case is individual, so if you wish the real picture re your personal case just do the two steps: 1. Check the CPU stepping via CLI, 2. Examine your PCB re resistor...

Re: Intel C2000 Series Failures

Pretty sure the warranty would expire exactly four years from your actual purchase date. So I'm sure that's very different for everyone. People could have been purchasing DS415+'s up until late last year sometime. If you bought the DS415+ in the first weeks it was released, then your warranty might...
