Please be aware that for multifunction printers, that only the print function is supported.

Note: Synology only supports POSTSCRIPT printers for Macintosh Systems. Please verify that your printer is PostScript capable if you are using a Macintosh!
(User note: at least some non-PostScript printers work well on OSX after installing the Gutenberg drivers from Sourceforge at gimp-print.sourceforge.net. If you do this, please note that you will need to explicitly select the Gutenberg driver associated with your printer when adding it- by default OSX will select PostScript, and you'll need to change it)
PPC Macs may benefit with using HPIJS, a Linux printing driver
