MySql Workbench administration

Postby Filippo » Mon Jan 07, 2013 11:59 am

Hi i'd like to admin MySql via Workbench and not via phpmyadmin.
i'm trying to configure the access but i cannot reach the database.
do i have to use SSH login management? if Yes, wich parameters?
What'is the linux version of synology? is it freeBSD, Linux Fedora or custom?
Thanks in advance.

You have to give root (or whatever user you want to connect with) access from the computer you are running workbench. This must be done through phpmyadmin on the DS as per default the permissions are set to "localhost".

As I said, "localhost" is WRONG. You need the IP of your PC OR "%" which means "from everywhere".
