SqueezeCenter nightlies won't start on Synology DS107+

Postby Pokersut » Tue Apr 14, 2009 12:05 am

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes:

I have SqueezeCenter running on my DS107+, installed via SSODS. I often install nightlies to check out the new features and get the latest bug fixes, but starting at r25811, I can no longer start SC after it has been installed.

I posted a bug report over at http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=11666, but was referred to the Syno forums, so I assume that it's a problem with the NAS.

Here is what happens: I install the nightly, and everything goes fine. But when I want to start SC, I see this:
Code: Select all
Starting SqueezeCenter 7.4-25811 (stay tuned) ..locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to
default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory
locale: Cannot set LC_COLLATE to default locale: No such file or directory
... FAILED!

The log file might reveal the reason for the failure.

SqueezeCenter 7.4-25811 is not running and SqueezeCenter's MySQL is not
running.

The server log has these entries:

Code: Select all
3760: [09-04-05 23:10:49     ] ssctrl failed to start SqueezeCenter.

Can anyone see what the problem is?

Never mind. I just installed 7.4-25965 and the problem is gone now.
