Just wondering in case they answer to you sometime soon, how much time would it take before we are running jdownloader in our NAS at home?, just it would be a great feature, i dont know what is Synology thinking not implementing it ASAP, i was going to buy a qnap and decided to buy a synology just because i found this thread. Jdownloader is the most useful programs i use on a daily basis, i mean, i could live without most other programs, but without jdownloader i would just stop downloading.

Xtreamer eTrayz have almost the same function of JDownloader inside their NAS. Just copy+paste Rapidshare links and the device will do the rest just like JDownloader. I own one but I sold due to instability. The biggest advantage of the eTrayz is the download functionality, now I'm missing this function on my DS110j. I'm sure the developer of Synology can do this function as Xtreamer did.

+1 for jDownloader support! I love my Synology NAS and I recently stumbled over jDownloader and love it also! Both merged would be a killer combo.

Hi synology team,

I bought my first DS209j a while ago. I run into a problem where my hard disk fail and lost a lot of data. I contact synology and they immediately try to fix my problem. Hence, I love synology since then. I bought my DS410j and then DS210j. And recommend my friend who bought 3 DS210j and other friend for 2XDS410j.

Now...I just want to know is the synology team still contact with jdownloader? I couldn't believed they email back to jdownloader team so slow, and this topic has first posted since three months ago, haven't heard from jdowmloader whether the second email is received.....

I bought DS mainly for my download needs, when our demand grow, i couldn't just live with megaupload and rapidshare. I now have netload.in and hotfile account....if jdownloader is implemented, all file hosting service is supported. That will be one of the selling point for me at least my other friend who owns 5-7 DS product because i introduced them....

I hope to hear more news from jdownloader...

I really cant believe it, Jdownloader support isa system seller feature, extremelly valuable function wich a third party is offering to do for them, most likely for free. Its like if Jdownloader team was calling to offer free money and Synology was ignoring them.

Please implement this on the Synology NAS. Torrent support is great, but JDownloader support would just make the Synology NAS's the ultimate download machines.
If this isn't a great selling point I don't know what is. And the JDownloader team is even offering to help — it is a no-brainer if it's technically possible.
