Can't log in.

Greetings,

I just got my synology and I am trying to setup photostation but I can't login with the admin account. Not sure what is going on. I use the admin to log into the management page without issues.

Any ideas?

This is happening to me with the Diskstation 2.3 firmware update (installed yesterday). The Photostation 4 link doesn't appear to work even though Photostation is turned on in the options. The Photostation 4 link appears to go to: http://192.168.0.9/photo/
As you can see, there's no port setting as there is if you click on the Audio Station link (http://192.168.0.9:5000/audio/index.cgi). Adding the port though to the Photo Station link doesn't work either.
What gives?

Photo Station doesnt need a port in the URL as it is runing on default port 80, while Audio Station is running on special port 5000.

I have problems logging in while photo station is creating the thumb nail's. It works only once in a while, probably due to system load. So if you just updated to 2.3 and you DS is converting the pictures, you may give it some time, days, weeks...

This must be it. On mine, the "convert" process is taking up all the CPU usage, this being a full 2 days after updating the firmware. I assume this process is Photostation going through all my gigabytes of photos? If so, there should be some status update message as to what Photostation is doing rather than just timing out.

Photo Station/Blog users have nothing to do with any ftp users.

I found out what was going on with my issue. It appears you have to log into photostation as your administrator logon. Then within Photostation create users and their folder access/permissions. I guess Photostation and the standard manager are separate.

Any other hint ? have the same issue, and can't log-in with admin account... the station is up, folders are OK, but can't log-in... tried to deactivate/reactivate the service, restart the box, ... nothing...

I can't login either.

I tried to login with my admin account, but get a message saying the account isn't authorised for the service - I haven't had this problem before.

I recently added a second hdd to my DS210J.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I'm in the same situation and cant login to photostation 4 with my admin account. I can ofcause login to Synology Assistant. I'm using DSM 2.3-1157 on a 110j.
