What i am stating is when you bought your syno, it had a previous FW and all in that firmware worked correctly.
You had the choice to leave it as it was or take the risk of upgrading; and after upgrading it didnt meet your needs (have faults etc)
you always have the option to downgrade i cant understand why you didnt if you felt the firmware was that much of a problem.
i used 832 got burned by the constant bugs then went back to 731.
What i'm saying is when you bought the device, it did what it said it would do and met your needs.

I agree with you, if you see in my signature with regard to the UPS and loss of config... i'm fairly annoyed about the bugs myself as are certain others.
832 was a total mess, so u didn't miss much. i don't know how the company messed up that much, i've been with them since April 2006 and never seen such a mess up

I'm already looking at the 509+!
i dont really care when it ends, as long as it's stable, and should the current FW what ever edition it is not be stable... ill go back to one that does.
My 106 is still happy, synology do quite a lot for me and many others... and even for you too as the firmware has been discontinued for your device, the support is still there should you require it!
