Can I add more disks to a RAID 0 without problems?

I have a 407e with 2 WD 1TB in RAID 0 and now I need more disks.

Will I have any problems (data loss, etc) if I add more disks?

Will I run into problems if instead of 1TB disks, like the ones I have, I put 2 WD 2TB disks when they are available?

As long as you dont touch the existing RAID0, you can add whatever HDD you want. You can add another RAID0 or a RAID 1 or 2 Basic volumes.
But you cannot expand or degrade your exisitng RAID0 without losing the data.

I just have to figure out a way to copy the info, format, and then copy again or I could make 2 RAID 0.

Regarding this last part, could I do it with the new WD 2TB disks?

Sorry, but I just thought of another possibility.

If I add 2 more disks (WD 1TB like the ones I have, or the new WD 2 TB) in RAID 5 will I loose any of the existing data?

Please refer to the Disk Planning Guide for further information.

In general, you cannot convert a 2-drive RAID type into a 4-drive RAID type. You will have to remove all data from the existing volume and then recreate the system using 4-drives.

As always, it's recommended to use a Redundant RAID Volume, using JBOD/RAID-0 are the most vulnerable RAID types - therefore it's not recommended to use these RAID types.
