No upload when seeding

I'm using Download Station 3.1-2202 with DSM 4.0-2219.

Whenever I download a torrent, the torrent uploads a little bit (typically ratio of .05 or .1), but as soon as the download completes and the torrent seeds, my upload rate drops to 0kbs and stays there forever.

I have max upload rate at 100, max download at 0, BT protocol encryption on Auto, Max peers at 100 and auto stop when share ratio reaches 200% and seeding time reaches forever (should never stop seeding).

Any help is appreciated as this is killing the utility of download station. If it can't seed properly then I can't really use it for BT.

Additional debug info:
I'm able to seed and download and upload using a standalone client (transmission and utorrent) from every other PC and Mac on the same network as my Synology.

If i do the same just from my labtop both download and upload speed is just fine.

I checked to see if i am connectable and all, and i am, i checked the router settings and it's fine to.

Anyone else have that problem ?

I got my upload to work now both for open and closed communities. It proved that it had worked from the beginning but I was mislead by "forum experts" (not this forum) that my connection was bad. The reason for that uploading didn't work was due to seed ratio.

Some tips for the rest of you:
1) Check your "Auto stop task" settings in the BT folder.
2) Check that you have enabled port forwarding in your router.

Downloading works super well, maxing my 100mbps connection, but upload stays at 0.00KB/s for all torrents. I believe the same port is used for download and upload, so it shouldn't be a port issue, right? Any other ideas?

Have you opened the "download port" in your router (download client->BT->TCP port (portnr)) and portforwarded correctly?

Hi - just to note, I had the same problem with my DS-412+ and port forwarding (or rather lack of it) was to blame. Just go to the control panel of DSM, select router settings and add the two ports for BT (just select create and they should be near the top).

I have the same problem, and this package was the main reason why i bought the ds212j.
What i have notice is that it only uploads under the time that iam downloading and then the upload stops. Really like to know what causing this.
I've checked ports etc.

Does it matter if i open ports manually through router interface or if i use the DSM open ports function? I've only used the router interface.
