Correct Shutdown of DS212J

Hi Guys I'm just doin some research on the DS212J NAS and my question is i have all my PC , Printer , Speakers , Monitor and Router plug into the same Surge Protector so when i shutdown my pc and just turn all power off to everything do i need to properly shutdown the DS212J drive before i turn all power off or can i leave it powered up when i turn everything off ? . Sorry for newbie question just cant find anything in the PDF's . Many thanks Mik

Oh yes, ALWAYS shutdown ANY electronic devices before cutting the power! Otherwise you risk to loose your data and to corrupt the disks.
