I don't know why Synology removed the DS111 when you try to compare products but maybe that is b/c the DS112 is not much different.
From what i read the CPU is still 1.6Ghz and 256MB. Is there any major differences other than USB 3.0 support?

WOL has been added too, the fan has changed, it is less noisy and has lower power consumation (according to the published technical specifications).

Got it thanks, I didn't think it was possible to make it run any quieter, with my SSD in there i can have this next to my pillow and I wouldn't know it is there.
I assume by WOL you mean the capability to send packets to wake up other devices on the LAN since the NAS would be on all the time.
The power consumption is nice always looking to cut back if i can.
