RE: Bug - https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/64. Seems to be closed...

I downgraded python to 2.6.6.4 and the problem has gone away. I'll stick to this version until a fix is available from either end.

Hi again,

I did not change the port.

Do I just run the .cgi script without arguments? I get the following output:
Code: Select all
nas> perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
        LANGUAGE = (unset),
        LC_ALL = (unset),
        LANG = "en_US.utf8"
    are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").

Can you tell me where the SABnzbd logs are located? Maybe I can find some more information there.

Thanks!

Hello,
This is fantastic! Thanks!

But I'm in trouble: I discovered superzebulon a couple of minutes earlier. Installed python 2.6, SABnzbd, Sickbeard, CouchPotato and HeadPhones. Python 2.7 was installed earlier.

Now I belive I should swithch to SynoCommunity: SuperZebulon is on board, more apps, more uppdates?

From earlier posts I belive I have to DELETE SABnzbd, Sickbeard, CouchPotato and HeadPhones (and delete the link to the superzebulon repository).

Should I DELETE or UNINSTALL? How do I do this? I can telnet into my 1511+ but there my knowledge ends. I guess I need a line by line instruction. Packages installed on volume1.

Very greatful for all help. Superzebulon: Why not some info about SynoCommunity on your blog?
Regards
P

EDIT: In the package center under "more" there is an unistall button in most apps, which solved my problem.

I installed the apps from synocommunity repo. Went well for all except SABnzbd. At the end of installation a input box asked for a directory or download directory. I choose cancel. Now SABnzbd shows att installed under "other sources" (did not move to "installed"). I cant unistall or start. What to do?

If SABnzbd is listed under Other Sources, it's not installed. Just click the install button and make sure you give it a directory when asked. You can change it later in the SABnzbd settings.

Thanks, but it shows as "installed" in other sources, greyed out button, not clickable.

1) added repo
2) installed SAB
3) end of installation pressed cancel
4) now shows as installed under "other sources". Did not move to "installed". Shows as not installed in "NZB Config" app.

EDIT: Reboot solved this. Able to make a fresh install.

Really ?
So that would mean the problem is in the new Python package, not the Package Center ?

I think so.

2.6.6.4 is fine. If I upgrade from the package centre to python 2.6.6-5 or 2.7 then the problem appears.

Cheers

This isn't the proper way to start it manually
This page is the display in DSM :p

To start, try "sabnzbd start"

Yes, it is closed, as it is a bug from Synology itself, not the package

SuperZebulon package is not displaying as "not available" so it doesn't show the lines
But as a reminder, they only appear while your have the package center opened

Keep in mind you will have issues if a python 2.7 is needed as a dependency for a package (next release will most probably need it ...)

Synology is now offering a python package

DO NOT INSTALL IT IF YOU HAVE OUR PACKAGE INSTALLED

We will come back to you with proper procedure to switch between our package and Synology one

We will, afterwards, do not offer this package of course

Hoping that Spotweb will come as a package soon. Today I came to the conclusion I can really use a package like that. :-)

Is that really all it takes ; change status from "not available" (which is pretty confusing anyway) to "stopped" (like Java SE) to prevent all those entries in /var/log/messages ? :?
(bu the way ; isn't SuperZebulon developing for SynoCommunity now ?)

Yes he is :)

For python issue, Diaoul judged it clearer to display "not available" than "stopped"

But this issue will soon be gone, as Synology is now offering its own package, and we will not provide it anymore :wink:

Hi, I switched over to your Repo but now I see I don't have Nzbget in the list of available applications. I have a DS408 maybe this is why ?

Hope to get it in soon as I want to try nzbget on my box to see if I can get it to work better then Sabnzb
