Webstation doesn't create web folder

Postby Hubert2012 » Sun May 06, 2012 4:17 pm

I just bought a DS212j.

Everything I tried seems to work fine. Except when I started Webstation.

I get no error messages and the log app says that Webstation was started succesfully.

But when I start the webstation icon in the main menu, a new window is opened with the normal DM desktop! Also there is not a web folder created on the NAS; what should be the case according to the manual.

Most likely I have overlooked somehting basic, but I can't figure out waht.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Regards,

Hubert

Create it yourself.....

And as long as you dont have a valid index.php/htm or html file wqithin this folder you will be redirected to the DSM login page.

"Create it yourself" via > Control Panel > Shared Folders .

If it's still not "visible" to the user account your signed in as go to the Privileges Setup tab in Shared Folders and set it has accessible to the correct user accounts.

Hope that helps anyone who has lost the Web folder.

PS this works for any other folders that aren't "visible" to their users.
