Just wondering what the disk station (DS212j) will output through DLNA UPnP to an AVR capable of 96khz 24bit lossless? I have 96khz flac files that output 96khz when streaming from my computer to my AVR but when streaming from my disk station its only 44.1khz no matter what the khz is? Do I have something I need to set or is this all the disk Station will send/output?
I'm thinking that before I updated to 4.0 is was sending 96khz files to the AVR!

Do you, by chance, have FLAC transcoding turned on in Main Menu -> Media Server -> DMA Compatibility? (Just a WAG)

Yes I do. Wouldn't flac not even work if I didn't have that turned on? Flac plays but only in 44.1kHz even if the file is 96kHz? In fact, before 4.0 I believe I was getting 96kHz but not now?

Why don't you try turning it off and see what happens.

Just tried turning it off but noticed my Media Server is gone and so is a lot of other things now that I have 4.0! Maybe its because I'm on Google Chrome...I don't know.
All I do know is 4.0 is NOT working right on my system!- geo

Thanks for your help. I just got the disk station and had everything setup in the old version. When I updated to 4.0 things changed and I didn't know where to find them. I did have FLAC transcoding turned on. So once I found Media Center I turned it off and now I can stream 96khz files!
