JPGs visible in Photo Station, but not in Media Server in TV

Postby mertas » Sat Apr 14, 2012 6:32 am

Hi,
I use Synology as Media Server for my TV 42" Panasonic VIERA TX-P42G30E.
I have loaded about 5.000 photos in formats jpg, JPG
Some of them can´t be shown in TV, comes error: not supported file
Thumbnails are completely made.
Any experience, how to convert photos in photoshop before loading to Synology NAS?
thank you
mertas

Yesterday I finished uploading thousands of photos to my NAS and I also tried to view them on my TV but I could only see the thumbnails. I selected the picture and nothing came up, went back selected a different folder and same results. My TV was showing 0kb for the file size but I know it's there so I'm not sure what's going on.

However, I was able to successfully view my photos from my blu-ray player, but the videos had no sound. I will investigate more on this as soon as I get home today. Let me know if you find out why this is happening to you.

Hi,
I had a problem with some JPGs files and found that if I opened them in Gimp and then saved them as a jpeg they were then visible. Haven't found an answer as why this works but it does for me.
