Hello,

When removing all Zebulon´s apps and replacing them with the ones from your repo, will I have to configure everything again and has all the file/scanning to be done again (eg. by Sick Beard and Headphones)?

Thanks,

John.

Seems like you will have to configure again, since a new db will be created, new scan is mandatory

@bud77
Is there anything you can do about the problem with install failing on port 8080? Is there a way you can have the install set a different port - or not check during the install?

thx

Since we want to have the easiest config possible, that won't be possible

But you should really find why you have this issue, as this only happens with your nas
Best thing would be to reinstall DSM from scratch (don't forget to save your config before)

I had OpenERP 3rd party package installed on my DS1511+ and it runs on 8080.
I had to stop and uninstall the package first, before installing SynoCommunitys package.

I suspect there is a problem/bug with the install routine for your package - detecting a port as in-use, when it is not. Netstat shows nothing running on 8080...

@Ltek

In DSM, try adding http port 8080, and see if you get an error

And no, there is no problem with the package, the install is the sabnzbd standard
To make sure, you can try to install SuperZebulon package, you most probably will encounter the same issue

Hi,

CHECK THIS FIRST: viewtopic.php?f=190&t=50593&start=405#p209615 (important comments for guide).

I successfully switched from the "old" superzebulon repository for CouchPotato, Sabnzbdd and SickBeard to SynoCommunity and still maintained all settings :)

EDIT: It seems like the CouchPotato thumbnails for wanted movies were lost, so you will also need to take a backup of couchpotato/cache/images and most likely also couchpotato/cache/xml. Forcing an update of a movie does not re-obtain the thumbnail.

I did the following:
  1. Take backup of old stuff (located in /usr/local/var/...):
    • SABnzbd: /admin/ & sabnzbd.conf
    • SickBeard: config.ini & sickbeard.db
    • CouchPotato: config.ini & data.db
  2. Uninstall old packages
  3. Remove old repository
  4. Reboot....reboots are your friend
  5. Add SynoCommunity repository
  6. Install new packages
  7. Update CouchPotato and SickBeard using web interfaces (assuming you were already using latest versions)
  8. Stop services
  9. Restore old configuration files
    • New packages are installed in /volume1/@appstore/...something
    • Make backups of replaced files
    • Set owners/access (chmod/chown) as original files - compare with the files/folder you just backed up
  10. Restart services (maybe reboot the box as well)
  11. Use the NZBConfig tool for finishing up stuff

Thanks a LOT to all of you for providing this repository and especially superzebulon for also providing the old repository :D

So which packages are you guys planning next?? Maybe some Java or a MineCraft server :)

Huge thank to share this discovery, I'll post it onto the french forums :)

The next packages are (in order):

Debian Chroot with DSM gui (Diaoul)
HAProxy (Nounours44)
TVHeadend (Diaoul)
Bacula (Diaoul)
Git Server (Diaoul)
Spotweb (Diaoul)
LazyLibrarian (Diaoul)

And, btw, there is already a java & minecraft package on pcloadbetter repo :)
(even tho java is a little tricky to install, but bing is your friend for this :p)

Just installed your Python 2.7.2-1 package (to use for AutoSub subtitle downloader) and noticed a bunch of this in /var/log/messages :

May 3 23:23:21 PkgMan.cgi: pkgtool.cpp:2445 No script for python

It's status in Package Center is 'Not available' ?! I know you don't have to start it, but 'not available' sounds wrong ... :?

NAS : DS212j with 2 ST2000DL003 in SHR / DSM 4.2-3211
LAN : Fritz!Box 7170, 4 Devolo, 1 Icidu 200Mbps AV homeplugs, 2 5-port switches
HW : Conceptronic CHD3NET, ACRyan Playon!HD, Eminent EM7075dts, Wii U, PS2

Nothing wrong about it, that is the only status we can display besides running/stopped through DSM :/

For the logs, nothing to worry about, this is most probably because DSM search for preinstall/preupgrade (etc etc) scripts, and return an error if some are missing

Hi,

First of all, thanks for the great package resource! I came passed this forum topic today by accident and found out about the new website and upcoming packages. That's really awesome.

Tonight I switched over from the Synoblog packages to the "new" packages from this website. Everything runs excellent so far, except for one thing.

I used to have these port numbers on my NAS:

Sabnzb: 8080
Sickbeard: 8081
Couchpotato: 8082
Autosub: 8083
Headphones: 8084
Transmission: 9091

All worked fine. Tonight after the package switch I have a problem weigh Couchpotato. It was set to run on port 8200. As I am used to have it running on 8082 I changed the setting in Couchpotato to 8082 and let it restart. I can open couch potato on 8082 now. However, the Synology package center actually says the package is not running, while it actually is. When I change the port number back to 8200 the package center says it's running again.

I think this is a bug? I have no problem switching the other software from port number. Only Couchpotato is having this issue. Is there anything I can do about it? I really want to have it run on 8082 again and having the package center see it run.
