Yep! So far it's running as expected, but the blinking light gang has got me spooked!

When I bought mine from newegg it was the same deal, was available and became unavailable very soon after.

If you see one, pull the trigger!

Too bad about the issues though, it's tarnishing a great product's launch!

No, I went from 2 drives to 3 using the seagate drive on sale you speak of.

Rebuild from 2 3tb to 3 3tb drives took about 30 hours with 1tb of data on the ds1812+.

The whole point of the purchase for me was not to get 8 3tb drives, rather start with 3, then add a 4tb drive, then a 5tb etc. Only getting more storage when I actually need it and not poney up $$$$ up from for raid5. Factoring in how stupid expensive drives have been this year, made sense to me at least.

Got sick of buying 4+ drives of each generation I guess.

Looks like they are in stock on ncix. Just ordered one, hopefully it is not one of the 'affected' units.
