download station does not start

Hi

Just got my DS 212 (DSM 4.0-2198) and all seems great - except Download station wont start downloading torrents (FTP seems to work though!?) I've disabled Firewall, restarted the server, portforwarded 5000 on the router to the DS... Torrent works from my computer. Can't think of anything else.

Any ideas ??

Just wondering if anyone has had their download such on Waiting and found a solution to it. I haven't changed anything, just added some torrents to download and the files appear on the list but the status is Waiting. Can't figure it out!

I've having the same issue here as well. Diskstation 1511+ 5 3TB WD drives running the lastest dsm 4.022 i think....any potential solutions?

Hey guys, I found this from another post. Go into each torrent and edit the maximum number of peers allows. It defaults to 0. I changed mine to 20 and the torrents started to download right away.

Can you show me where to specify the per torrent peer maximum? I don't see that option, only the default maximum in the settings if I login as admin.

I don't seem to be able to go into each torrent individually to change any settings. If I load the download station from within the control panel I can only click on settings there. I have the following tabs |General|Location|File Hosting|BT|BT Search|FTP/HTTP/NZB|RSS|

Any help would be appreciated as I cannot get any downloads going now. The ststus of the all is 'Waiting'.

Screw download station. I found this: http://forum.synology.com/wiki/index.ph ... sion_HowTo. I used transmission on my desktop too, so I'm happy.

I figured it out. Just go to package center and stop the download station app, then run it again. This should clear any bugs, and your downloads should start up again.

Hi,

I got the same problem: just after first installation of Download Station it would not start. I got a network connection error message and then "Download Station Disabled".

After looking through many posts I simply rebooted the Diskstation from DSM and voila it works fine.
