You need to check which CPU your model of DS has here: http://forum.synology.com/wiki/index.php/What_kind_of_CPU_does_my_NAS_have. Then knowing that you can get the right Java package for your CPU from here: http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2011/08/23/java-package-for-synology/. Follow the instruction re install and all should be good.

You might want to read this post of mine re Serviio http://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=44545&hilit=+serviio#p172306.

I recently updated the scripts to tolerate a few more permutations of mangled filename - literally each browser apart from Firefox renames .tar.gz files to something different as they're downloaded. I included the locale binaries too to reduce complexity, and I also included TinyUrl links for the downloads in the error messages. So overall the process should be a lot easier.
For my packages (Java, Serviio, CrashPlan, CrashPlan PRO, CrashPlan PROe, Minecraft, Craftbukkit, OpenRemote, and Bliss), add my repo URL to Package Center: http://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk
