I push the power button, and nothing happens. Thats the sad short version.
My unit was last updated in oct last year, 3.2 DSM I think. Kinda hard to check now

Sounds like the power supply is dead, I would contact Synology to hear about a new one.

You'll find it on the DSM 
As you dont have access to it anymore, just write directly to support at synology dot com

It's just on the back of my DS 209+ II the serial number is written on a small label, so I thought that the same was for the DS 409+
