Removal instructions for a manual CrashPlan install:
http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/30/cr ... mment-2396If you want to "un-bootstrap" your NAS to put it back to a stock install, run the bootstrap script you got from here a second time and it will give you instructions on how to do that:
http://forum.synology.com/wiki/index.ph ... ,_ipkg_etcTo remove the Java which the CrashPlan installer automatically fetches someone else will need to help, because I have no idea what it does to your system (I have an ARM syno, not an Intel one so I can't test).
I would recommend you delete the folder which is shown when you run
- Code: Select all
echo $JAVA_HOME
Then edit the file
/etc/profile and remove the bit where it sets the JAVA_HOME variable, and the bit where it puts $JAVA_HOME/bin into the PATH variable.
Bear in mind that the Java install you currently have does not support non-US characters, whereas if you install my packaged one it will. Even if you're in an English-speaking country, you're likely to have at least some MP3 files with accented characters, so it is certainly something worthwhile.

For my packages (Java, Serviio, CrashPlan, CrashPlan PRO, CrashPlan PROe, Minecraft, Craftbukkit, OpenRemote, and Bliss), add my repo URL to Package Center: http://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk
