iCloud will not sync on DS File (iPhone) - Please Help

Postby Chianti » Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:17 am

First the basics:

1) I have icloud installed on multiple pc's just to confirm something is wrong.
2) All this work is being done on an internal network. I am not accessing anything outside the intranet so firewall rules don't apply.

Now the problem:

When I connected the icloud apps on the pcs, I put in the ezcloud id. ALL FILES SYNC PROPERLY BETWEEN ALL COMPUTERS AND MY NAS INSTANTANEOUSLY AND SIMULTANEOUSLY.

However, "DS File" installed on my iphone 4s (with the absolutely most recent ios version) does not sync the iCloud folder. It simply remains blank. I connected with the ezcloud id, just as I did with the pc versions of icloud, and it connects with no error (I'm able to browse folders and files). However, the iCloud folder remains blank. No matter what I do, it will not sync.

Yes I've pulled the screen down to refresh, yes I did a complete reinstall of DS File, yes "sync with icloud" is enabled in settings.

Any ideas why the icloud folder remains blank, while all the other pc's... set up in the identical fashion work? Please help...

Hi

Have you enabled WebDAV on your DS?

The smartphone apps are using the WebDAV protocol for access.

I appreciate the help, Michael. Yes, WebDav is enabled, so unfortunately that is not the issue. I've been using DS File for quite some time now, but iCloud is simply not working...

I do not use the CloudStation on the DS since there's no MacOS client but I guess you confuse something here:

CloudStation syncs between PCs connected to the NAS
iCloud is an APPLE service syncing iPhones and iPads, so everything in the iCloud folder will be visible on all iPhones and iPads you own.

Theses services are not connected in any way!

If this is the case - then none of my iCloud stored documents are being displayed either. And yes, I checked the supported file list for DS File, so at least SOME should be displayed.
