Hi Luuk,

Thanks for this excellent extension. I use it every day and you should have some more beer or if you prefer coffee money in your paypal account! ;-)

I was having an issue that when I added a couple of torrents it would sometimes stop all torrents (previously running and new ones) and give me an error on all torrents. If I then manually restarted them in the disk station I was good to go!
I don't know if this is a bug in the disk station software (running DSM 4.0) or some problem with the extension.

I then went to this thread and saw that you had released a new version so off I went to install it. I'm running newest safari and 10.7.3 as already mentioned DSM 4.0. It had forgotten my login credentials so I added those but when I click the save options button nothing happens (it does recognize it as a button though). When I try to leave the page it asks me if I want to leave the page and says the changes will be lost. It's been running for 10 minutes so something is off.

I did uninstall the extension and quit safari. I then tried to reinstall safari download extension but still the same issue.

Thanks for this wonderful plugin, look forward to using the new magnet feature and if I can help with figuring out the issue (log etc.), drop me a line.

Best regards,
Philly

I'm having the same setup (DSM 4/lion 10.7.3/sdse 1.5 beta) and the same issues with not being able to save settings.

Great to hear you like the extension!

I have the same issue with torrents sometimes since I am using DSM 4.0. I'm quite sure it is something in DSM because the extension doesn't do anything with other tasks when you add a torrent. For pressing the start-button in the extension works as well. I think you don't need to log into DSM to start 'em!

Thanks for reporting your issue with the new beta. I'll see if I can find where it goes wrong! It would make it easier to find the bug in the options-page if you could do the following (with the new beta version of the extension):

1. Enable developer tools (Safari -> preferences -> advanced -> check "Show developer menu"
2. Open the javascript console (right-click on the options page -> chose "Console")
3. Refresh the options page and click the save-button to reproduce your problem.

Does it show an error if you perform the steps above?

If more people have this same issue: let me know :)

Hey thanks for getting back to me...
I had some trouble with your directions but I know it's me!

1. Already enabled
2. right click what options page? your extensions? did that
and did not get the console

I ended up going to Develop-> start Debugging java script
Got a split screen in the middle I had elements, resources, network, scripts, timeline, audits, console

clicked on console, below I then had All, errors, Warnings, logs

the only thing there was this:

options.css:-1Resource interpreted as Stylesheet but transferred with MIME type text/plain.

I did find your java script under Resources but nothing more under console....

Where did I go wrong?

As for the error message in download station good to know that I'm not the only one and I'll now restart the downloads through your extension.

Cheers,
Philly

Thanks for quick reply. You didn't go wrong at all, apparently it is a bug that doesn't cause a javascript error. I'll see if i can fix later it today, the bug should be easy to reproduce for my since it occurs even after you re-installed the extension.

As you can read in the previous posts, I am working on the next update :). I decided to make some big changes in how the extension communicates with DSM. This requires more testing than usual updates. With the beta version I released earlier this week I've found some problems that are difficult to fix because they are hard to debug. Once I've found a solution for this problems I'll release a new beta version. Hopefully that will be before the DSM4 release!

In that case I'll downgrade... :-) I was waiting for the quick fix but would rather have a bigger upgrade... If you need beta testers who don't mind helping with bug reports...

Thanks for all your work,

Has there been any progress with the new version of the extension for DSM 4.0? I notice the old version does not work anymore and I miss it!

Unfortunately I kind of stuck at the moment. I'm having problems with the cookie storage that is required for the new interface. Cookies in Safari and Chrome extensions are difficult to debug, and that makes it hard to find a solution.

The current version of the extension should work with DSM 4.0 if you use HTTP. Could you try to switch to HTTP if you were using HTTPS?

Leosia might be having trouble with magnet links?
Other than magnet links the old version works fine for me.
LuukD: If I can help test/send debug logs just tell me but in terms of helping the debugging process that is already above my level  !

Thanks for sticking it out,

I don't think it is just magnet links. For all links now I get the following in download station: status "waiting" for about 30 seconds, followed by "premium account required". Also the same for YouTube videos. I am using version 1.4.1 and have checked my settings. Not sure if there is another version. Anyway, I can wait. Thanks a lot!

This means that the task is accepted by Download Station and the problem is also in that part. You could try to update the Filehosting helpers by following the steps in this post.

I have just released a new version with partial magnet support (using Zoink.it). Most magnet links should work in this version and the button on ThePirateBay is enabled again.

You can update in your Safari preferences (the Extensions-tab).
