WEBDAV not working after 4.0 upgrade

我希望有人可以幫我解決一個問題。

We are encountering a problem with my upgrade from DSM 3.2 to DSM 4.0. On our 712+ with the DSM 3.2 everyone in my company were able to access files on the 712+ using WebDAV. Everything worked well. After upgrading to DSM 4.0-2198 no one in our office can connect to our 712+ server running DSM 4.0-2198 using WebDAV.

We have done check after check and the server is setup to allow WebDav. As a simple test, when trying to access WebDav on the 5005 (which is the default), we get this error:

Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) DAV/2 Server at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port 5005
........

When we turn WebDAV off on the server, browsers don't display any message. Just a blank page.
Could there be a problem in DSM 4.0-2198 that has broken the WebDAV feature?

Could we have missed a step when we upgraded. Any advice would be of help because we rely on WebDAV heavily.
If not, we will have to visit the Synology office as they are about a ten minute drive from were we are in New Taipei City.

I confirm this problem. DS212j with 4.0 upgrade.

I can confirm this problem. Also after upgrading to DSM 4.0-2198.

Same problems with DS212+ after migration. Does anyboby knows if this issue is already reported to Synology and if they are working on it?

Same problem here. Lost WebDAV access to all shares after upgrade to 4.0

It looks like something is really wrong in the case of upgrading to 4.0 wi WEBDav. I am seeing two othereople that I know here in Taiwan that are unable to connect to their Synology NAS via WEBDav after upgrade to 4.0.

I looks like I should give Synology Taiwan a call tomorrow afternoon.

I have the same problem. WebDav (port 5005) and WebDav SSL (port 5006) both worked perfectly using DSM 3.2, and now both fail since I upgraded to DSM 4.0

I have the WebDav server enabled in DSM (ports 5005 and 5006); and the corresponding ports are forwarded in my router to the DiskStation.

This looks like a bug.

Similar problem, but... Usually i can connect to WebDav server using NetDrive v.1.3.2.0 and i can see all my folders, but if i trying to copy file more than 1-2 mb, i see the messsage "Copy, Calculating..." for 2-3 minutes instead of 3-5 seconds.

DS212+, 4.0-2198, static ip, no port forw., internet connection speed of DS212+ - 4/2 Mbit, my internet connection - 20 Mbit.
DS212+, USB Station 2.

DSM 4.0, Since the upgrade it works for me but webdav no longer logs the login to webdav, log file totally blank !

Raised this with sinology but no reply from them

Hi , Im totally stuck and have been at this for days, please can you help.
What am I doing wrong?

I cannot access my diskstation DS212 via windows or ipad even though it shows up as being on the network. When I try to access it I get "Windows cannot access" check cable etc.
But Im logged into it in the browser!?! and ds audio works!

1: I have WebDAV on, tried restarting , switching it on off etc.
2: Tried deleting accounts and recreating them, I cannot access at all on my ipad not no matter what I use, was fine for a while before.
3: Restarted the ds box , deleted and reset my router, no help.
4:Synology assistant connects as it should but photo uploader has unknownnetworkerror
5: tried the reset switch on the front for 30 secs , did nothing at all
6: changed the name of the diskstation and the new name shows up on the network, to no avail
7:ds file not working
8:ds photo, now not working in windows or ipad

I spent 10 days solid of uploading and converting my 500Gb photo collection to the ds box when it was working before ,yes a ridiculous amount of time, so I really don't want to reformat everything, as I think it will make no difference.

it was a firewall issue.
I created a custom profile and then set it back to being completely open.
all works fine again.

Others in the forum have reported this happening on upgrade to ds 4.0 . SO maybe a bug in the firewall upgrade?

Apparently, there is not a firewall issu. i can connect from my browser, and apache responds:
Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) DAV/2 Server at conch Port 5005


Ergo, there must be a misconfiguration of the service in Apache. The web server listens to the port, but it does not allow me to browse the contents.

All I know is that fiddling with the fire wall settings fixed my issues.
