Advice on the DiskStation DS212j

I'm thinking of buying a Synology DiskStation DS212j and connecting it via ethernet to my HTPC client.

I've never used a NAS like this and I have few questions:

1 What's the best type of HDD drive for this? It's for serving videos to my HTPC and music to my desktop.

2 Is this NAS powerful enough to run Sabznbd and unpack my files and serve my media to my HTPC at the same time?

3 Can I run Couchpotato and Sickbeard on this as well? If so, wIll these apps run on the background without issue?

4 WIll I need to use the command line? I'd rather set the NAS up and forget about it.

That unit will be more than adequate for what you want to do as long as all you need it for is to stream on your local network.

If you want to stream live and transcode on the fly over the internet, only the most powerful of NAS can do a good job of that.

There is a Hard Disk compatibility chart in the Support section of Synology. Most people use the 'green' HD for home use, especially if you have a two disk mirror system, no need to spend more for enterprise quality unless you are doing critical backups.
