Can't access SMTP server (form Mailstation or e-mail client)

Postby reprograf2 » Fri Mar 02, 2012 9:42 am

Hi,

I've got seriouse problem with setting up e-mail server on my 212+.
From the beggining:

Domain is forwarder to my static IP. Firewall is open for 80, 587, 110 (and many other useful) ports. one of the A records is: *.mydomain.pl -> my.ip.add.res, then MX record is set to mydomain.pl.

On my 212+ I've got mailserver up and running. Mailstation is up and running too. All emails sent to me on konrad@maydomain.pl are OK. I can read them in Mailstation or access trough POP3 from the outside.

my SMTP server is configured in mailstation as mydomain.pl, port 587, max message size 25MB, authorization requested.

Unfortunately no matter what I just can't send any mail trough mailstation or email client. Both of them can't find SMTP server.

Can anyone point me what I'm doing wrong or what to check to get SMTP wortking??

hi,

i think your ISP doesn't allow you to send smtp directly to the net !

try to set the SMTP forwarded to : SMTP.ISP on port 25.
as you configure Windows mail...
