We should be able to craft slabs, stairs, fences etc. from all available materials. I would like to have sandstone stairs, stone fences, obsidian ladders and woolen slabs! :D

If I understand your wish correctly, this is already possible.

I´ve given some of my friends WebDav enabled account. They connect to my NAS via NetDrive, so shares show up there as drives. They can browse the shares and stream with VLC media player.

Hello,

I'd like to be able to run a Domain controller for windows-based machines on my DS.
I've seen that it is possible to do this by manually installing a newer version of Samba, but it seems that doing this you lose the ability to see the file log and that you need to configure the domain "by hand".
So it would be nice to have it integrated to the DSM. 8)
I think that central management of users and ressources in the DS (that could be easyly up 24/7 because of its low power consumption and is a major system ressource on the network by itself) will be an interresting feature for many users.
Of course as not all users will have need of this, making it a package would certainly be a sensible choice.

Best regards.

SVN Server .... great for people doing development at home or even in a small business. I would think this would be a huge plus for Synology.

I need something like the Recycle Bin from Windows, on the Synology's installed HDD's. I keep a lot of files there and if I delete something by mistake, it's gone forever.
I don't know if you can implement this or something similar but a sure hope so.

liviupublic, what is wrong with using the built in CIFS Recycle Bin that already comes with Synology's firmware?
