Ds106e Firmware Error when unzipping

Postby wbi1911 » Sat Feb 25, 2012 3:46 am

I am trying to reload my DS-106e after installing a new HDD, but when I unzip the file I downloaded from the synology support site (download center), Winzip gives me a CRC error (under Win 7). i tried using OS X Lion's archive utility as well. I can extract the .pat file under Lion, but when I try to load it, the installation fails with a "this file is corrupt" error message.

Has anyone else had a problem with the files from the Synology support site?

Thanks.

It is a known issue, Synology is going the replace the files (hoping sooner than later...).

In the meantime, you can download the FW from a mirror, privoded by a user from German forum.
