i used your app with my iphone and your job is very great !!
Unfortunaly now i have an android phone and i m trying several app luke synoliad and synodroid but unfortnally they didn t support some site with torrent dinamically generated ..
So...do you think to port your app to android market ?

Maybe a stupid question but I haven't been able to find it out anywhere else...if I run my Synology NAS through VPN (PPTP) via a router, will I then be able to reach it outside my home network with SynoDS?

Hello, it's not really related to SynoDS ... You should be able to connect to your NAS from the VPN. If you want to be able to connect from outside of the VPN, you should add a firewall rule to route the port 5000/5001 to the standard interface (eth0/eth1) instead of the VPN interface (tun0 I guess). It's theory, I've never done this ...

I'm sorry but for now I have no time to learn Android programming and to port SynoDS on it ... I had some discussions with the author of synoload and if I remember well, the functions available for developers to interact with the web browser are too limited and are preventing to handle these kind of cases ... It means that even if I was porting SynoDS to Android, I would certainly fail at doing better that other Android applications ...

Could you send me a mail to dev@patey.net so that I can try to see why it doesn't work with SynoLoad ? The app works well with many private trackers, so it should work fine...

Did you open port 5000 ? Please send me by email (using synoDS) the details to connect to your Synology and I'll check if it's working or not !
DSM 4.0 needs latest SynoDS version if you are using ssl so make sure that you have latest update installed !

I just found a minor bug in the App, when holding on a folder or file for renaming on iPad and iPhone, if that file or folder is in the far end of the screen lowest part so to speak, the app should scroll up, but it doesn't when the ui brings up the keyboard, so I for one can't select in the renaming window the part or section that needs to be renamed or replaced.

I dont know if i am doing something wrong but when i download nzb files i get almost always the unknown file name in the downloads tab. The files download without any problem but the names show up as Unknown all the time.
Maybe it is a bug dont know yet but will do some more testing

I hope that they have not done a specific filtering for my app. This is really strange, I had no other report for this issue outside of Orange Spain (working well in France with all carriers, but Orange France is filtering the downloading of .torrent files over his network) ...

Bought this app a few days ago and love it so far.

One problem, which is for some reason the progress of my downloads is not "live", that is, it is not auto-updating. I have to press the refresh button to see the updated percentage download progress.

I'm pretty sure it was working when I first bought the app. The only thing that has changed is the download folder I'm using, but I don't see why that should matter.

Any ideas on why it isn't working? Or perhaps it isn't supposed to have "live" progress?

Go in the Settings/application settings and change the auto refresh period to something that is not "off"

Hi there. just to try and clarify before sending any links, (not sure if ill get banned for mentioning specific sites) if you click on any nzb link from any site such as n*bma*rix.c** it will get the nzb, send it to the server but call it "unknown". Not sure how sending you links would help as any nzb does it. Not trying to sound rude and i`ll quite happily send you links just let me know. Many thanks.
