no web-interface

so server(ds1511+, dsm 3.1-1748) was running a little slow yesterday so i decided to do a reboot and see if that would help. afterwards after 20 minutes or so of waiting for webman web-interface to come back. i tried closing browser and trying to get in by http://ip:5000. no such luck (just same problem loading page screen). then tried synology assistant with same result. how ever web works, email works, i can even telnet and scp into it with admin access (not root, lost with reboot). have tried rebooting several times to no avail. Does anyone know how to get web-interface back online?

also tried running a memory test through synology assistant, returned error message "System has no response. Connection timeout."

pushed reset button (figured if it worked it was worth changing a few settings back), memory test running so i awesome this is a good thing.

memory test finished (didn't give results) i still can't get to web-interface (lost telnet).

hard reset disk-station (depressed reset button twice), flashed latest DSM (3.2), reapplied all lost configurations and apps.
