Ok thank you guys. But are you doing this similar work?

This was my procedure:

I installed CloudStation on DS209 and activate it.

I installed CloudStation Client on a PC with windows Vista 32bits, and set my shared folder. I putted a lot of files on my shared folder (around 700MB).

Two days later, I installed CloudStation on another PC with Windows 7, and I get the bug. Apparently there are something shyncronizing, but I never get the files on my local folder. A lot of network traffic but nothig was shyncroniced at all.

I tried to execute CloudStation client as administrator too. Same results.

Today, I come back to my work and I modify some files on my DS209 shared folder. I sync the WVista and everything works fine. At this moment, this PC is upgrading his shared folder and I'm getting updated messages at the CloudStation client, recently changed files, etc.

I don't know the reason. The only difference between PC's are the SO and the ethernet connection. The two W7 are on my LAN at home, and WVista are in a public DSL at work. But it has no sense, it will work better on lan.

Sorry for my english, I hope you can understand the post.

Thanks!

Regards.

Today I discovered a strange behaviour in the Cloud Station folder. All files has been copied up to 80 times each. This happens after a Windows reboot. Anyone seen this?

Probably is the same issue, because I have around 3.500 files. If each is copied 80 times, a continuous loop will occur.

I will do some test this afternoon if I can.

Asboe, is your system W7??

Ok, I'm doing new tests. I am shyncronizing now a new machine with W7 and, apparently, it works ok.

But I'm looking at the "recently changed files" and I saw same files some times... ¿?

Probably my other W7 doesn't refresh this menú for some reason, but it is shyncronizing in backplane...

The CloudStation started at 19:00 and 2 hours later, is still shyncronizing. My shared folder has now 4,9GB. Is a lot of time for a LAN environment. I think that it is taking files more than one time per each one.

Network traffic is around 6-7MB/sec, around 50Mbps. I'm in a wifi/100Mbps LAN environment, not Giga.

Thanks!

Regards.

Proxy configuration is needed in the "Cloud Station" client.

For mine and many others, proxy server authentication is required for any ports including 21, 80 and 443.
So, SSH tunneling or any of the other tricks don't cut it for this application.

Consider adding proxy support to the client.

The harddrive-never-spin-down issue when Cloudstation is running seems to be related to ezCloud-ID (?). When I remove the ezCloud-ID and access my IP instead, my drive seems to spindown properly.

Ubuntu Cloud Support

Postby blackbicbiro » Tue Jan 24, 2012 6:34 pm

Hi

Does anyone know if there will be Ubuntu support with 4.0. i have used rsync in the past to sync my machines but its a pain to remember to keep on top of it

The idea of cloud base/drop box like application for ubuntu/linux would be real nice

Any news?

Cheer

Hi,

yesterday my W7 machine synchronized correctly. But I saw a lot of files with ¿.qpart? extension. I don't know if this files are temporary files used by CloudStation. But in any case, I think that this files should not be displayed at the "Recently modified files" of the user interface.

I don't know the reason, but apparently my problem was solved.

I have 2 DS's and 3 PC's (1W7p+2XP) and the Cloud works fine all over, but I miss a possibility to have more than one account to distinguish one kind of users from another!
