Did the update. Worked just fine..
After a few python hangs.. And reboot. I can't login in any more..
I get this: "System is upgrading. Please log in later"
Telnet works fino.
Any ideas ??

I had this problem too. Tech support told me to backup my data and "hardreset" my NAS.
I wasn't willing to do that so I did some digging around in the dsm console.
If you have telnet or ssh access try the following:
- Code: Select all
Diskstation> synoupgrade --download
- Code: Select all
Diskstation> synoupgrade --start

I'm seeing the same problem. Although mine was after an overheat crash rather than a python related crash.
After doing a synoupgrade --download and --start via the command line, which completed successfully, the same thing still happens. Can't get on via the web interface. Even after a reboot.
Weirdly, command line and samba connections still work. It's just the DSM software that's rejecting logins. Not quite sure how to proceed. I guess I might leave it off for a while, see if the drives cooling down fixes it.

Hello, I have just updated my 210J and message showed too 'please wait, system is upgrading'. But I realized it might take a while before both HDD are done and left the house. Just returned after almost 3 hours and now everything seems to work fine and I can login as usual.. So be patience...
