It took me weeks to convert all my videos from mts to mp4. Do I need to do re-index with DSM 4.0? Thanks, Nick

Mine is re-indexing, I hope it doesn't have to reconvert everything too.

Many users have had issues with the thumbnail creation progress taking days when they upgraded to DSM 3.2.
When DSM 4.0 final is released, will this require a re-index and recreation of the thumbnails for photostation?

Mine is also re-indexing. However, the indexing-icon from DSM 3.2 in the top right corner is gone. How can I now quickly see if it is re-indexing?
Edit: after a reboot the icon is back

Upgraded to DSM 4.0 and indeed, the indexing is taking place . at this moment about 20 minutes which is normal for a full index of all my MP3's.

You can see it is re-indexing from the Control Panel\Media Indexing Service
or if you connect via SSH to the Synology, you will see a /usr/syno/bin/synoindexd process running with some CPU.
