Windows blue screen of death when copying to ds211

Postby hicetnunc » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:21 am

Hi all,

Fresh member here hopeful for communal wisdom to solve an issue i am having. Have ds211 with a mapped network drive in windows7. When trying to copy large files (4gb+) about half way through the process, the entire system crashes and i get windows blue screen of death  . Smaller files go onto the station with no problems.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

As this is a client-side Windows error, I would look at 1) RAM memory issues and 2) Hard disk defects 3) File system errors on your PC.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, any updates? I don-t think is a pc hardware problem, only happens when copying 4+GB files to synology shared folder

Thanks!

hi,

Again I have the same issue, with more than one PC. Please clarify the position on this now know issue.
If there is a fix coming or not. I have a DS212J with 2 pre-loaded 2 TB drives.

Note, I will return this to my store if I do not get some answers soon.
