you can have a look on an unofficial client for Windows Phone 7.

For now it doesn't support the mango features, but a little bird told me that a mango version with background audio playback was in the process of being certified by Microsoft's marketplace at the time I am writing those lines and fix a whole bunch of bugs & issues...

maybe worth a try ?

Also maybe the guys over at synology could get in contact with the developer of this app to do some kind of partnership to speed things up so the community could benefit from an even better DS Audio app ?

( okay, tiny bug I'm working on right now : starting playback without having selected any track would crash the app... identified and getting things done for app update coming soon )

please, if you like it, rate it : in the past, as I've released it at a very early stage with a few glitches and bugs, reviews have been pretty bad so far.

Hope the update + port to mango will improve this a bit.

I'm using an iPhone myself, but in general I would favor these nice Synology apps to be available for all the major smartphones including Windows Phone 7.x.
