Network Access

Postby trickywiki » Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:33 am

Hi,
When I first started using the File Browser I could 'see' my desktop computer in the left hand window so I could easily move files to and from my computer to the Disk Station.

For some reason my computer doesn't appear any more.

If I open Windows Explorer on my computer the Disk Station appears on the Network and I can access the files OK, so I know the network is working.

I can't see how to get my computer files to reappear on the Disk Station's File Browser. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Adrian

Hi,

Didn't seem to do anything but 'My computer' has reappeared in the file browser. It would be interesting to know why / how it reappeared.

Cheers
Adrian

I now have the same issue after upgrading to dsm 4.0.

I used to be able to see one of my networked pc's on the left hand side of filestation but I could bnever get the other one up. Now I cant get either pc coming up.
I can still access the disk station from the network tab on the pc.
