Regarding Foscam cameras, this is a known quality issue with this brand of cameras.

I can view my camera via the Axis software without problem. I'm finding this to be a very annoying issue. Any idea if synology are doing something about this and when a fix will be available??

scratch009 wrote:I had a similiar incident few weeks back. With an Axis p1344. Camera suddenly disconnected, but camera still ok to access via direct link (internal webbrowser). SS could find the camera but unable to connect for some reason. I was desperate so I went into the camera settings page and did a "restore factory settings". It will ask you to do restore settings but keep TCP/IP settings, which is pretty handy so you don't need to do much to get it going again.
After that everything worked fine again and it didn't occur anymore since.
